The Happy Prancer...

Lindsey can be quite the leaper when she gets excited. Every time she busts out in her crazy hops and dashes, we crack up. Her happiness is contagious.

$5.00 haircuts...

Last weekend there was a cut-a-thon at the Paul Mitchel School in Santa Barbara. They were offering $5.00 haircuts, to raise money for a few different local charities. Kyle and I decided to give it a shot, and we are both feeling pleased with the results. Here we are, proudly displaying our new styles.

Spring-a-thon...

I've decided to officially rename spring break in my vocabulary, as it really isn't as relaxing as the word break suggests. In many ways, my "vacations" are more like marathons. Thus I have coined a new and more appropriate term, spring-a-thon.

For our most recent spring-a-thon, Kyle and I ventured to D.C. While there, we spent quality time with a few treasured family members, toured various historical sites, and visited numerous museums and monuments. In addition, we were fortunate enough to see the infamous cherry blossoms in bloom around the Tidal Basin. Of course, it was raining quite heavily that day. Oh well, even the best laid plans are subject to unexpected weather conditions. Despite the rain, seeing the cherry blossoms was one of my highlights. I also got a kick out of going to Harper's Ferry, traveling through three different states in a matter of minutes, and touring the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. Kyle enjoyed seeing the House and Senate in session at the Capitol, touring the WO (Washington Office of the Forest Service), and playing a few rounds of Mario Kart.
To list all of our highlights would take way too much time, though I can assure you that we maximized our moments and shared a lot of new experiences. Three Cheers for our hosts K and M! Hip Hip Hurray! Hip Hip Hurray! Hip Hip Hurray!

Euan...

Last week my sister Kristie delivered a healthy baby boy on the eve of her birthday. They named him Euan Josiah. We are very happy for their family unit and anxious to meet him ourselves.
